Make a very simple AM Transmitter!
If you want to create the simplest of AM radios...we found out how.
This is an incredible experiment that you can try. Did you know that you can
transmit on an AM radio with just a 9-volt battery and a nickel? It's possible.
OK, so you won't be playing Metallica, but you will be able to send a signal.
Here's how:
Take a 9-volt battery and any type of coin.
Get an AM radio, turn it on and find any area where you hear static.
Now hold the 9-volt battery next to the antenna and tap the two terminals of the
9-volt battery with that coin. You'll hear a crackle in the radio. There, you
sent a signal!

You've created a radio transmitter! It won't transmit anything useful or
that far, but you could use it to send morse code to someone extremely close
to you :)
