But Chittlin Circuit continues to salute the few DJs who can still bring the experience of indies music to the airwaves without being slapped on the risk. And so we start this issues DJ Spotlight with the hosts of The Nic and Nan Morning Show heard weekday mornings on WKXN/WKXK-FM in Montgomery, Alabama.

This husband-wife team exude love, fun and a love for life and wearing their hearts on their sleeves, commonly referred to as puttin their business in the street, seems to be a formula that works. Their show is fast-paced with music, information and a lot of fun.

Nic Allen anchors the show and he has been in the biz since 1977 and since then hes worked in various radio markets including Chicago, Mississippi, Florida, California, Alabama and a brief stint in Kodiak, Alaska.

For Nan, this is a second career and she is still working as an Oncology Nurse as she has done for the past (15) years.
