I have spent 25 years in broadcasting - Positions of responsibility include; General Management, Operations, Programming, Production, Promotions, Traffic, Web-page Building and Maintenance, Automation Set-up and Maintenance and On-Air positions in News, Talk, Music and Sports.
I have managed large stations in small towns and small stations in major markets. I am capable of running all aspects of a station with minimal technical assistance and personnel and have done so under various circumstances.
I believe the major issue with modern radio are decisions made which lack diversity in promotional campaigns and are unfocused in commitment to unique (or even proven) marketing.
I have been successful as a Realtor in Texas since summer '08 mostly because I don't just push contracts, I offer services to help other agents market themselves and their properties.
If I return to broadcasting it will be with a company that is willing and eager to embrace new challenges and opportunities. Today's Radio should be able to have more of an impact than ever before.
