Sports and radio broadcasting are my biggest passions in life. When I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison back in 2002, I was always sure that I wanted to work in sports radio, but I did not know when I would follow my dream. Eight years later, I realized the time had come. I recently went back to school to receive my certification as a radio and broadcasting Engineer. This experience helped me work on my skills to become an on-air sports radio personality, and prepared me to take on my first opportunity in the industry. During my certification process, I apprenticed/interned at, The Big 1070 WTSO-AM, a prominent sports radio station for Clear Channel Radio, in Madison, WI, where I reported directly to On-Air Personality, Mike Heller, of "The Mike Heller Show." This experience allowed me to fine-tune my skills in the successful production and execution of a quality- live sports talk radio show. Currently, I am working as a freelance sports blogger for "The Score" 670-AM in Chicago, IL, at CBSChicago.com. The experience I have gained by writing sports articles for "The Score" 670-AM, along with my apprenticeship inside a sports radio station, at "The Big 1070" WTSO-AM, in Madison, WI, has now provided me with a variety of skills that are vital to a successful career in sports media. I also host my own internet radio show, "Grab Some Bench with Muller & Bangser", at www.blogtalkradio.com/spmuller24, which I have used as a chance to fine-tune the skills I learned as an apprentice, under the tutelage of Mike Heller. I would like to continue my career growth within the sports radio industry, and have the opportunity to promote the company that is willing to take a chance on me, to all its fans, whether they be online or listeners on air, to the best of my ability. I strongly believe that I would be a great asset to any company, based not only on my past experiences, but on my abilities to be a team-player and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of on-air and online spots media moving into the future. I enjoy pushing myself to be the best I can be, but I thrive on my ability to help my fellow employees and company grow to reach our collective potential to be the best in the business. I am eager for an opportunity to interview for a position with your company and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
